We have been back home with our daughter, Molly, for almost a month .

Molly is perfect! She is healthy, happy, smart, loving, beautiful, and hilarious. She has already enriched our lives more than we can say.

The trip to China was an adventure but it was a good one. We spent two weeks there starting in Shanghai; then receiving Molly in Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province, where we formally adopted her. After the paperwork was completed we traveled to Guangzhou (Canton) for immigration processing and then departed for home via Hong Kong.

Throughout China we were with a group of 24 Americans (adoptive parents, relatives and supporters) plus two Chinese facilitators from our adoption agency. It was quite a show but everything was as good as it could have been; and far better, easier and more organized than we expected. Even the 23 hour trip home was relatively painless.

Molly’s transition from orphanage to hotel life, room service, air-conditioning, Baby Gap clothes and parents was astonishingly quick and it was very obvious to us how well cared for she had been. We could not have ordered a more perfect daughter.

Molly is now 17 months old. She eats like a truck driver — anything and everything; loves her vegetables, milk, yogurt and fruit. This makes Mom very happy. Her cheeks are rosy and she is very healthy and well-adjusted. She is beginning to understand and use English...hello, hi, kitty cat, Mamma and Dada (we love this). She helps Mommy with everything (EVERYTHING) — and she loves playing with Daddy because Daddy makes her laugh. Molly is never tired. Mommy and Daddy are always tired.

Best of all though; Molly gives and receives lots and lots of kisses and we are head over heels in love with this amazing and beautiful child. We are truly the luckiest people on Earth.
